Most Humans and even many Vaqlorii believe the Unicorn Oracle is simply a myth. Flavius must seek out two miracles after losing his arm in his battle with the dragon and he convinces the Faerie Queen to reveal the secret lair of the Unicorn so that he may petition the Oracle to grant those miracles. It is the Unicorn Oracle that creates the magical golden armour Flavius wears in his rematch with the dragon.
